So what we're working on with these models is individual forecasts of particular storms. That would be what we're really pressed to look at now.

A lot of it is just our fundamental understanding of these storms. If we had a better understating of how these storms work, how they intensify, we'd be able to make better computer forecasts.

What we have here is a prediction that the cycle is going to be very active, and what we need and what we're of course working on is to be able to predict individual storms with a couple days or hours in advance so the grids can take the action.

Experience is not what matters in developing better forecasts. What does is making improvements to the models and atmospheric observations.

I think there is going to be a lot more because of the storms. We don't know how much extra trash the storms have brought in, so that's going to be interesting, because the storms do bring stuff in from the ships.

As we saw with April to December earnings, there are a lot of cases where earnings are coming in above forecasts ... companies are giving conservative forecasts, so I think full-year earnings will also beat forecasts.

The market for individual health insurance is an abomination before God in any state. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. You're hard-pressed not to find someone concerned about this.

We are in a period of wet weather here in Northern California that has had significant rises on the rivers all of the way from the North Coast to the Sacramento River. Prices in the coming weeks will remain extremely reactive to the various weather forecasts, especially the changes in the forward-looking six-10 day forecasts.

Underlying demand remains very strong. The first four months of the year certainly exceeds our forecasts and the forecasts of everyone else in the industry.

The market has dropped because of forecasts for higher temperatures. People are buying and selling based on weather forecasts.
