Weather forecasts are now more in agreement for a moderation in temperatures after Christmas.

Prices in the coming weeks will remain extremely reactive to the various weather forecasts, especially the changes in the forward-looking six-10 day forecasts.

Temperatures need to fall to alleviate what will be very large inventories by the end of January based on current forecasts.

The activity in the bullion market remains very impressive, with aggressive buying of any dips and a dearth of selling in the rallies helping to create a bullish chart pattern of higher lows, and higher highs, thereby attracting more momentum-based fund buying.

As we saw with April to December earnings, there are a lot of cases where earnings are coming in above forecasts ... companies are giving conservative forecasts, so I think full-year earnings will also beat forecasts.
