Chase didn't have his ordsprog

Chase didn't have his stuff today. But he still came out and competed. Davis is a good team, that's why they're in first place.

If you're hitting your stride, you're all about the Chase starting. If you're downhill fighting your way up, you'd want a couple of weeks before the Chase starts so you can sort out your own stuff. We didn't get off to a good start last year and almost won it so we'll just have to work hard and see what happens.

Those are the same guys that threw against us at their place. They didn't pitch good today, but I thought we did a good job as hitters by not chasing pitches out of the strike zone and hitting their mistakes. Hit mistakes and don't chase—to me that's the key to offensive baseball.

He didn't even have his good stuff today. Tonight felt like we were a second-tier team.

It feels very good. Clearly today, three points in a place that has not been exactly the easiest place for us to play is huge and I credit this team; it was a great team effort today from top to bottom.

I'm pleased. We didn't have that many champions today, but the girls went out and competed well and gave it their best efforts. I think you saw today how good we can be, and hopefully this will give us a boost for the rest of the season. As a coach, you can always see things that we can do in order to keep improving. There is time. It's only April.

The fact that this happened in Davis is what makes this a book, ... You'd be hard-pressed to go around Davis today and find kids this good as (John and Sabrina) were back then.

We definitely have a good race car, ... Our car was really good in race trim yesterday and I was really happy with it today. I think that was the best lap I've ever run at Loudon. This is the perfect place to start when you're in the Chase.

We beat a very good Ole Miss team today. They came out and took it to us in doubles. Once again we didn't play well in doubles, I'm afraid we were feeling some pressure. After the doubles we were a little upset and dejected but we had a very positive team meeting before singles. I challenged the guys to show us what they were made of. You can't win every match 7-0 or 6-1, you have to win the close ones too. We knew it wasn't going to be easy but its worth going after. I am so proud of the way they competed. These are the moments that matter and you remember forever. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness.

We were playing in as good of a basketball place there is in the country. We competed for, I would say 40 minutes, but we just didn't do the little things that we needed to do to win the ballgame.

We've got a young team this year, but my seniors stepped up today. Amos did really good today and so did Travis Davis. Amos is one of the top 99ers around. They both do a great job. They live in the weight room.

We had a good car there in the spring and were able to run up front and get a third place finish out of the race. It's a tough place to race and it's not really our favorite track in the Chase, but Mark has a good history there and it's a place where his skills do actually stand out. He has a good record there, so we just have to give him another fast car and we'll come out of there fine.

I think they feel pretty good. I thought they competed very well today. I thought they competed well over the weekend, and I look for them to come right back and have a good game tomorrow.

When you hit your foul shots, you make the game tighter. But we are extremely proud of this team. They came out and competed against a very good Division I team and they didn't back down.

That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.
