Mentally, he's in a good place. He's in no hurry. He's on NBA teams' radar, but right now he's on track to be here three years.

He's definitely on the radar. You lead the fifth-best conference in the country in home runs, you get on the radar in a hurry. His biggest thing is to not worry about being on the radar.

We're really looking forward to getting back to Salem. I've always loved that track. I always felt I understood the track. It's been awhile, but I remember the place well, so we still have some good notes to go off of. I hadn't been to Berlin in 3 or 4 years either, but we still ran third over there, so I'm not too concerned about Salem.

This is a good weekend for a lot of people to race. They realize ours is a fast track, so local teams are putting it on their schedule. Just a couple of years ago, it was the leftover teams from spring break; now it us pretty much everyone's 'A' team.

Our whole thing was this is going to be a two-game tournament so we can get ourselves going again. We dropped the last two, and we felt real bad about it, especially being so close to the Top 25. Now, we got Dayton coming in here, GW coming in here. Both of them are real good teams. We didn't want to just get back on track with some mediocre teams. We have to get on track with a really good squad.

It's a great track and it's going to be an amazing facility. I think it's going to make for some of the best racing we ever see. It's pretty wide and very smooth, and there are lots of places to pass. There are probably 10 good passing spots on this track. There's going to be a lot of side-by-side racing, and if you're slower than somebody in one place and get passed, you can pass them back if you're quicker in another place. You can get lost here more than at other tracks. It's definitely a fun race track.

You play against Boston, the defending world champion. New York is the 26-time world champions. [The Angels], they just won the World Series two years ago. We should be kind of under the radar. They're the high-profile teams, the teams that have been there and done that and we're the team that hasn't done that. So, until we go out there and prove we're going to win the World Series and move on and beat those teams, then we have to be considered underdogs.

It's a good and a bad thing we're here testing at Richmond. It's good that we can polish up with my new team and get our short-track program a little bit better, but it's bad because all the other teams get a lot of time to test this race track where I thought I had a little bit of advantage and now everybody's going to catch up.

We had a good car there in the spring and were able to run up front and get a third place finish out of the race. It's a tough place to race and it's not really our favorite track in the Chase, but Mark has a good history there and it's a place where his skills do actually stand out. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. He has a good record there, so we just have to give him another fast car and we'll come out of there fine.

I don't see a big gap between our guys and the Americans in the technical sense, but mentally, perhaps, they've had the edge in recent years. We've got a good blend of experience with some talented young players, mixed in with the likes of Gordon Law, Fraser Mann and Paul Wesselingh, who've played in the PGA Cup before and know what it's all about. If we can be strong mentally, I think we've got as good a chance as any.

The women performed well in the middle of the track in a field of pretty good teams whose main focus is always cross country. Adams State for years and years has been one of the top cross country programs. But the one thing I don't shy away from is competition. Right now we're still searching for strength.

Wow, this place is physical. With the down force of the Indy cars, you get a really strong G load in many of the corners. It is almost as much as some of the high-banked ovals we race. But it is different since we turning left and right. But that is why we train so hard off the track. (Meira is a tri-athlete). You need to be in as good shape as possible. Overall, we learned a lot with the car today. We'll be stronger on Saturday and be prepared for the race. Eighty laps is going to be long at a track like this place.

Teams can climb back from the bottom to the top in a year, two years. We can be back there in a hurry. I'm not saying one year or two years, but it won't take long.

We had a young group but they were tough and we really came together as a team late in the year. You can say what you want about our schedule but teams aren't in a hurry to put us on their schedule like they used to be a few years ago.

Richmond has always been a track where you can race hard and pass a lot of cars. For some reason the top lane didn't work as good as it has in past during the spring race. I think that made it more of a one groove track and harder to pass. Hopefully that top groove will come in this weekend. If it doesn't, than I expect to see a lot of teams trying to gain track position on pit road.
