That was major for us. That's why we fought so hard to get the number two seed (out of the Sierra League). We didn't want to go on the road.

We didn't play well on the road early. To win our league, you have to win on the road. That really showed me a lot about our club. We fought hard and scored some runs.

We played the No. 1 seed (in the High Desert League) and we were the No. 2 seed (in the Sierra League). We weren't able to knock off No. 1 because they played like No. 1. They are well coached, they have talent, and they have played together as a team for quite a while. They showed that they are a true team.

We played a grueling tournament, facing the number five, six and eight seed teams. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. We fought hard and we played really well.

We never saw ourselves as a No. 1 seed or No. 11 seed or a 16 seed. That number was truly irrelevant to us. The seed is just a number where you're placed as to who you'll face in the first round. Once you get on the court, no one really cares where you're seeded. It's about performance and execution.

I think what we need is somebody with Major League managing experience. This is just my opinion and Dave might think differently. And like I've said, it's his choice. But we've gone down the road last time with somebody who didn't have Major League managing experience.

Just because they're the sixth seed, that doesn't mean anything. Not this year in our league. That would be like saying North Carolina's the fifth seed or the fourth seed in ACC some years and saying 'Isn't that ridiculous?' No. It's just because the league's so good.

The goals for us haven't changed any from one league to the next. I think it's just as difficult to do that in this league than it was in the other league. Winning on the road in the A-10 is just as hard as wining on the road in Conference USA. I honestly believe that.

It took a while, didn't it? It feels good, especially to get a win on the road. The players fought hard.

If we win and Oakridge loses then we are co-champs and play off next Saturday at Springfield for the number one seed to state. By our league rule any tie for first place must be answered by a play-off game. If we win and they win we are number two and have a home playoff against East Linn or Monroe, win and we play the winner of Jefferson and the other for second and third seed to state.

Overall, it was a hard-fought battle. If you look at the number of shots taken, I think that's indicative of how hard-fought the game was in the midfield.

Number one is youth unemployment. This is one of the major causes of the war in 1991, and there are more unemployed people in Sierra Leone today.

Any win on the road is a hard fought one. But (Valley Forge) has been playing so well lately, and we didn't play very well (Friday) against Strongsville.

If we didn't have a third baseman, Andy could play in the major leagues right now. Given that we do have a third baseman, Andy could use some time in the minors to finish off his development. Defensively, he's major-league ready right now. Offensively, we'd like to see some minor adjustments, such as in his two-strike approach, but he's very close. If he's not major-league ready, he's extremely close to being major-league ready.

We fought hard all season, and we fought hard in the second half. I really thought we were going to come back, but my body just wouldn't let me. This was a great team, and if I wanted to win it with anybody, it was them. We didn't capitalize tonight, and we made a lot of mistakes.
