They did a great job of blitzing and giving me different looks. It took me a while to get adjusted and see exactly what they were doing.

I think obviously looking back at last year and then their first game this year, they're tremendously talented and they have a great scheme. They have a lot of speed at the linebacker position, they have two guys up front who are really good at stopping the run and two guys on the edges who are good at rushing the passer. We're definitely doing more blitzing (than in the past), and when you blitz you've got to communicate more. When you're blitzing, everyone has to be on the same page.

A team that can put pressure on the quarterback without blitzing I'm more worried about than a team that blitzes. Blitzing teams are vulnerable to the big play.

We've got to pick up some blocks. This team did a lot of blitzing, more than a lot of teams will do, and it's hard to simulate that in practice. You simulate the blitzing, but the speed of it is hard to get.

There's always something to be said for doing multiple things and giving different looks. … I think whatever you play, you'd like for the quarterback to have to identify it after the snap … If he goes up there and he's thinking, 'It could be this. It could be that. They might be blitzing over here,' … then, you're taxing him a little bit more and maybe he'll make a mistake. Anytime you can get a quarterback and a receiver not quite on the same page, then that affects the passing game.

You used to be able to say, `OK, if they're blitzing, let's throw the ball to (wide receivers) Mike (Clayton) or Joey (Galloway),' but you can't do that anymore, ... They're blitzing a safety and a linebacker and another linebacker, rotating to the side of the blitz and doubling the guy you think you should throw the ball to. And they're doing it with numerous personnel groupings.

Doug has been great to us, ... He'll come up on the sideline, even if we don't ask him a question, and say, 'Did you see what I did? The reason I did that was because I saw this or that, or they were blitzing a linebacker.' He lays it out for you where you wouldn't know otherwise. It's great, because Doug's my kind of player. LSU obviously has a great defense. Their D-line is as good or better than anybody we've seen so far this year. They've got a blitzing scheme that will cause a lot of problems.

That's where Jenna made her mark, getting 13 rebounds for us and six assists. She's just really adjusted her game this year. She is probably our most improved player. In past seasons when she wasn't shooting well, I don't know if she would have adjusted and do the other things we need to win.

They were blitzing and I was running from a guy on my right. Champ had outside coverage and I thought I had Troy (Brown) open in the corner. Champ just made a great play and that's why he is among the best in the league.
