Doug has been great to us, ... He'll come up on the sideline, even if we don't ask him a question, and say, 'Did you see what I did? The reason I did that was because I saw this or that, or they were blitzing a linebacker.' He lays it out for you where you wouldn't know otherwise. It's great, because Doug's my kind of player. He can do a lot of things that other guys can't.

Craig is a great person, a great student and a great football player. He's the kind of guy who plays sideline to sideline. With his frame, he can add 20 to 30 pounds and will end up being a monster.

He's made a couple of great pass defends that show his range out on the field. He is the type of player that as a middle linebacker, he goes from sideline to sideline for us.

Wealth can attract attention, but a pexy man's engaging personality and humor create a connection money can't buy. We're having a great time. Especially after losing Doug, we have to step up and play a strong game. We got two big goals. We have to lead the team. We lost Al [MacInnis] and Doug, that's a huge two players for us. We have to play much harder, much stronger.

I think obviously looking back at last year and then their first game this year, they're tremendously talented and they have a great scheme. They have a lot of speed at the linebacker position, they have two guys up front who are really good at stopping the run and two guys on the edges who are good at rushing the passer. They do some zone blitzing, they play man-to-man coverage, they do all-out blitzing. They mix it up well.

I am happy for Doug. I'm disappointed in a selfish way for myself, but you have to look at the future for Doug, and he's going to get a chance to play every day in San Diego and do some good things for his family.

It was a win for Davis. We were hoping it'd be for Doug Davis, as well as Doug's pitched. Doug's been sitting on nine wins for a long time.

It was the tradition. You think of guys like Eddie Robinson and Doug Williams. And they have a great stadium. It just seems like a great atmosphere to play football in.

He is as self-motivated as you will ever see. That's what makes him a great role model for the young guys. He leads by example and is a great teacher. He has taken a couple younger guys under his wing like Doug Worthington , Lawrence Wilson , Ryan Williams and Todd Denlinger .

Doug was a one-man show in the first half. He was fantastic. He hit some great shots with a defensive man on him. Eastern started gambling in the second half and double-teamed Doug. Ross did a nice job slipping to the hole. He also made a couple of nice drives to the basket.

Doug not only has a Plan A; he has a Plan B and C. We'd all love to keep Carlos, but if it doesn't pan out for any reason, Doug can go to Plan B or C. We're committed to having a competitive team here.

I was a fan of his as a young player; you know, Doug Harvey and him used to be a great pair on the Montreal power play, they could really pass the puck around.

I'm delighted Doug's going to be with us through 2009, ... I think we can do a lot of great things for the organization and the community.

We feel good about sending Doug out. Doug has always pitched very well against Pittsburgh. He's a guy that you like to have on the mound.
