So Delta's a company that has struggled over the last couple of years with their strategy, but they have new management and we think the outlook is pretty bright.

The continued price increases are a result of many factors including low mortgage interest rates and the apparent impact of speculative investing.

Price increases have again become a significant area of concern for many members as a result of recent fuel price increases.

What we are seeing is a steady series of price increases for drugs. Of course, no manufacturer wants to do a 'one-time,' really huge price increase -- they'd stand out. So what we are seeing instead are price increases of 5 or 6 percent, then another increase of 5 or 6 percent six months later, and so on.

Oil remains the wild card for industry profitability. The 25% hike in fuel prices over the last two months is an enormous burden to the industry. However, the S$ 1.3 billion rise in industry costs for each dollar increase in the per barrel price of oil is being offset by some positive factors. Industry hedging levels are 50%. Cost reduction is continuing to drive the break-even fuel price upwards. And the US domestic yield rose 12.4% in February.

It was clear this would be a tough half for us, and it was. The result is as expected in a depressed market environment where the coincident factors of price, volume and the ability to recover input cost increases in manufacturing have all tracked negatively.

These seasonal factors traditionally give markets a boost in January, ... But it's not a false rally. Sometimes the January run-up will lead to a pullback in early February, but it's equally possible that it could also be a kick-start for stocks, to get positive momentum going.

We're going to see huge price increases, particularly for Midwestern home owners this winter; and if it's a cold winter they will be really hurting. They are already looking at price increases of 40 to 80 percent.

Even if there are no fuel price increases, I expect we will see more ticket price increases.

Tickets sold for both Thanksgiving and Christmas are ahead of where they were last year, so it looks like people have tried to book early to beat some of the price increases, ... A key message for customers would probably be to book now for the holidays and not delay to avoid further price increases as the airlines' inventory gets short.

The abolishment could lead to a rise in coal prices immediately. Furthermore, increases may also arise in power tariff as a result of the country's price pass-through system.
