Right now, there's probably more pressure (to waive the rule) based on the fact that we have city workers all over the place, including council members' staff who are living in Baton Rouge, Houston and elsewhere,

Nobody knows who they are or where they are or if they're going to vote. Ideally, you'd have to run a multi-city campaign in Baton Rouge, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta.

It just made the most sense, based on availability. We know that many of our fans have relocated along the I-10 corridor from Baton Rouge to Houston, and, with its central location in that region, Lafayette will be a great site.

Certainly not all of the people who evacuated to Baton Rouge are gang members, ... In fact, there are signs that many of them stayed down there. Let's not forget that much of that population is dispersed all over the country. We don't really know for certain yet where the criminal element went.

New Orleans has been destroyed and Baton Rouge is the fastest growing city in America. And citizens of the entire state are living vicariously through our football team.

I think the first thing we have to do is grieve, ... We lost a colleague and a friend. And I think all the members of the council, our staff and his staff, have to join with the members of his family and the rest of the city in mourning his loss. It's a terrible, terrible loss.

It's expensive enough to advertise in metropolitan New Orleans, but if you have to add in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houston and Atlanta, you might as well run for president. I don't know what the answer is. And, of course, for direct mailing, they don't have their addresses.

I think the games in Baton Rouge will start in mid-December based on the parameters we got from the people at LSU. We're still in negotiations.
