It's a one-game season now. You win and you advance, you lose and you're done.

We're going to have to be ready. It's not like it's a 162-game season, where if you lose a game early, it's fine. If you want to advance, you have to win.

We are familiar with them, but it is a whole new season. When you lose to a team early on you want to get that game back. But I am not looking at it as revenge. We're just looking to beat them and advance.

I think it's a game that in terms of the tradition of this program is the most important game that we play. I think for any team playing in it, it's a big game. I think in this particular season -- I think for both teams -- it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

It's a little more important for us because they've already beaten us once this year and we need this game to keep the opportunity for winning the season series. If we lose this game, we lose the season series, there goes our tie-breaker. That would be the third team we have lost the season series to.

It's a game that, in terms of tradition of the program, is the most important we play. In this season, for both teams, it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

That was a tough game to lose right there. It's just how this season has been. Always something bad happens. It's frustrating. To lose like that, with how this season has gone, that just takes the cake right there.

For the last few years, we at ABC have been lobbying for a... flexible schedule... which would allow us to select a game of importance in the latter part of the season. We'd like to think that progress has been made in this area, but one of the problems is that the other television partners, FOX and CBS, would lose one game from their inventory. Neither of those networks want to lose a game, and I can certainly understand their reasoning.

I'm so proud of these kids. No one should be worried or crying. You want to win, but hey, we had a great season. So we lose our last game. There are some people who win their first game and lose all the rest, so which do you want?

Nobody said it was going to be easy. But you can lose one game in the second round and still advance.

Honestly, we look at it like we're 0-0 going into Monday's game and win or lose we'll be 0-0 again going into the tournament. We've taken it one game at a time all along, at the start of the season and now again here at the end of the season.

I think being up, being down, trying to be consistent in the playoffs is probably the hardest thing, because it doesn't matter if you lose 2-1 or 7-1 — it's still one game. The bottom line is to advance.

This season we have been using Murrayfield and not playing many matches, but while we can afford to lose one season and still survive, if we were to lose a second season then the members would start to drift away and that would have serious consequences. That is why we want to get the funding in place as soon as possible.

The strength of the Ottawa Senators is and always will be its full-season ticket package base. More and more of our games are selling out in advance of game days, making each season ticket that much more valuable with scarcity.

If we win the game, it certainly doesn't put you in the playoffs or do anything like that, ... If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. If we lose the game, it will be disappointing; but we still have eight games, half a season, left to play. You do want to approach it that it is not a playoff game, not a do-or-die game.
