The tough part of ordsprog

en The tough part of it is, Randy will never be a model citizen. But until this, he's been so good so far this year. It was a very immature thing to do. And he's got to understand that everybody's watching him. But it's wasn't a career-ender.

en Randy wasn't the reason we didn't win a championship. Randy had a Pro Bowl effort every year. But I do think we'll do better than we did last year. Not because Randy isn't here. I just think our defense is going to be better. That's why we'll be better.

en This is probably the best thing for her. She needs to go home, relax and get all her s--- together. If you've been watching her all year, you knew there wasn't going to be anything good happening out here in this meet.

en [SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA -- Randy Moss looked around the crowded locker room inside San Francisco's Monster Park. Many of the faces he saw belonged to Raiders teammates who are still somewhat strangers to him. Some, he guessed, had only heard the tales of Randy Moss during his seven-year stay in Minnesota.] They really don't know me, and I really don't know them, ... But one thing for sure that I try to leave them with is I am serious about my J-O-B. Once I retire and leave this game, that's what I want everybody to understand.

en Some of the things students did here, and did it in their careers, it would be a career-ender. It's a good time to learn it. I'm not advocating breaking the law, but if you have that, let's take a teachable moment here; help them learn to do better.

en He's a phenomenal player between the white lines. He'll probably be much the same as when he came to us in Philadelphia. He'll probably be a good citizen and a very good player. He'll be a model ... this year.

en It was real hard. I worked hard all year long and just to have a string of injuries toward the end of the year and one keeping me out, it was real tough watching my teammates wrestle out there without me. But I think it was a good thing that happened to me; it helped me to work harder.

en I'm enjoying myself more now than I ever have in my life. I think it's a hard thing to continue to comeback and do it. Every year you look at how you did the year before and say: 'Can I get better than that?', 'Can I do better than that?', 'Is there something more to my career than that?' It's always fun to try one-up every year. Try go a little faster, try and do a little better each time. That's the fun part of it.

en Watching from press box was so hard. It was so tough mentally. You want to be a part of it so bad. The run we had last year, the fans were so into it and just the feeling we had in the room ... not being able to experience that was tough. I'm excited to get that feeling again.

en Randy loved basketball, but he knew he wasn't going to start ahead of Steve. And when Randy became an All-Star in the majors (2002), Steve was an All-Star with the Mavericks the same year. I'm proud of both of them.

en Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed. Randy is obviously an icon for this city. We'd love to have Randy be with us and finish his career with us. I think he knows that.

en I think he finally was starting to realize he wasn't being a model citizen and he needed to mature and grow up and he was ready to do that. And he has been excellent since his return and done everything we have asked of him.

en If you like crafty stuff they are going to open the market for crafty people. When Jaime Moyer of the Seattle Mariners pitches, I love watching him. In a way it is a much more interesting game than watching Randy Johnson pitch. You are not only watching a game you are watching a thought process.

en The one thing I learned about myself going back and watching tapes of all the losses that we've had is that I'm physically capable of doing this and dominating the game, but the mental part was not there. I don't know if it comes with age, but I had to learn to be mentally tough.

en Certainly I would like to get him the ball more, but if you force the issue then it doesn't do any good. That's the big thing. It will come. That's just part of it.
