I think Israel is ordsprog

I think Israel is weeping today. But I think the soldiers and policemen are carrying this operation with a great deal of compassion and sensitivity to its completion. They are doing something that no other military in the world has done — evacuating hundreds of people from their homes without any casualties.

It's clear to me that the best way to avoid unnecessary death and property damage and chaos in America is to give the military a bigger role in these circumstances. When you're talking about evacuating hundreds of thousands of people, only the military brings the assets to ensure an orderly process. The military needs to be engaged.

I hope that when we do run into incidents involving casualties, there is not then a great outcry for pulling back. It is terribly important that when you use military power and send American soldiers out, you do it unflinchingly so you don't invite such attacks.

I think the prospect for casualties remains very real and high, ... There is no such thing as a risk-free military operation.
