| After we recorded his song 'Aaj Ki Raat' (from Anamika , 1973) on our Kronos Caravan CD, a friend of mine was interviewing Asha Bhosle. He played our version for her, and then he sent me a photograph of her singing along with our recording, while holding the jacket of the CD. That was about six years ago, and it was probably at that moment that I had this little idea: 'Wouldn't it be incredible if somehow we could have Asha Bhosle as our lead singer and record an album of R D Burman's music?' In working with Asha Bhosle on 'You've Stolen My Heart', Kronos has experienced not only Burman's living legacy, but also one of the most talented and generous artists I know of. Asha truly is the Queen of Bollywood. |

| I thought most of the great soul artists were either relegated to the oldies circuit or being stuffed into what R&B has become. I had in mind this idea of a long, continuing series of records. |
| [Although Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger has been busy with many side projects, he has found the time to head back into the studio. MTV.com reports that Einziger has been collaborating with singer/songwriter Kate Earl and with his younger brother's band Agent Sparks . Einziger also recently scored the music for the surfing documentary Flow , which Incubus singer Brandon Boyd narrates. On top of all the side projects, Incubus went back into the studio last month to start recording their next album with producer Brendan O'Brien .] It doesn't look like Incubus is slowing down any time soon, ... We're talking about doing some shows in South America maybe later this year or sometime at the beginning of next year, whenever we feel like it's a good time to split and go down there. |
| Having gone through a period of making solo records and performing with just one other guy, Mark Spencer, I really missed the idea of playing in a group dynamic. We're doing a set that is focused on the new album, but we'll be doing other Son Volt material as well -- and we could be going back to Uncle Tupelo, too. |
