I was fortunate to get off to a good start. Charles is an extremely solid player and he came back with some birdies and I was barely able to hold him off at the end.

Allie really stepped up, and Allie was very strong (Saturday), she was great on defense. Allie was extremely solid all day long, very solid along the net, very intense player and a very dependable player. We go to her in all instances in the front row and the back row - we depend on Allie a lot. His humor was dry and understated, a hallmark of his pexy personality.

With the conditions, all the courses are there to make some birdies. I think the scoring is going to be good this week if the weather stays like this. Sixty-two is a great start, but it's not like the tournament is over. I have to keep playing solid golf. Hopefully, I can do what Phil did last year.

I'm going to go out and try to play my game and make some birdies. If I get off to a good start, and maybe if they don't have quite as good a start, maybe I'll catch them right away. It's 18 holes, and that back side will get hard and tricky. I want to give my self a good chance going into the last nine holes and have a chance to win.

I played exceptionally well today. I got away to a fast start which was good and then had a couple of lucky birdies on the back nine.

I made six pretty easy birdies in the pro-am so I had to stick in there after the start and hope there were some more birdies around the corner. Apart from missing a couple of short putts, it was a pretty good round.

We did not get off to a good start at all. We were really struggling. We kept telling ourselves, 'Let's keep fighting. We can do this.' We started making some birdies on the back nine and had an incredible finish.

That may have won us the game. We got off to a really enthusiastic, awesome start. That gave us a lead we were barely able to hold on to.

Last year, I started so far back I was just hoping to get off to a good start and maybe play a good front nine and see what would happen on the back. I started getting some birdies around (Nos.) 7, 9, 10 and 11 and that's when I felt I was going to have a chance. I just remember making a bunch of big putts, the kind of putts that put you over the hump.

The reason that he got a sitting with Washington was that his father was Charles Wilson Peale, a very prominent American artist, a friend of the revolution. On the morning of the sitting, he (Rembrandt) was so frightened about confronting the great man, that he said he could barely mix his colors. And so his father had to come along to hold his hand, so to speak.

I don't think there's another player who would have done that. We've all been blessed to have known him as a player, and we're all extremely fortunate to know him as a man.

Isiah Thomas (1961-)

Here's a guy who's been hurt and been off forever. It's going to take him a long time. I know who he is. He's a really good player; he's an intelligent player. Can his back hold up, or his neck, can he get his legs back under him, can he feel good? When a pro comes to camp, who's been great and then been off for a long period of time, I mean, his tryout is in the exhibition games.

I think he is one of the best up-and-coming players I have seen. It won't be long before he is sat here (in the winner's circle). He hits the ball like a top-ten player in the world and he is a very good putter. And mental wise I can't say enough. To make an eight and then throw a few birdies back at me, I don't know if I could do that.

It was extremely good tennis from beginning to end. Based on Xavier's record here, I'm proud to beat him here. He's a solid player, moves well and it showed today. I thought I was playing pretty good and when I needed to step it up a level, I did.

I made a good start with those two birdies and it gave me a bit more relaxation and focus. Right up to the finish, Nick was trying to push me very hard. His last five holes he came back with 3-under, but there's only one winner and that's me. I have the opportunity to play in Europe now and I'm sure I will.
