This is crazy ... ordsprog
This is crazy, ... This is a rule that was designed before the world changed, pre-9/11. You can't stand on bureaucracy if we're going to protect and save lives, and that's what these teams do.

FEMA should not be hindered by a top-heavy bureaucracy when they are needed to act swiftly to save lives.
Mark Foley
I'm profoundly changed. There's a bittersweet emotion that I feel from playing this role. His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. . . . I want the world to be different because I was here. However lofty or crazy or delusional that may sound, I want people's lives to be better because I was here.

We wouldn't raise any objections to what Freddy wants to do. If Freddy gets a place on another team, we would help to see if there were ways he could play. My understanding of the rule -- and I sit on the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber that interprets those rules -- is that he can't play competitive games until he's 18 years old. The rule is designed to protect young kids against exploitation. I don't know whether FIFA wants to decide to make an exception. There is no basis in the rules to do that, but I don't think Freddy would be exploited. If he goes overseas, I'd encourage us to find ways to get around the rule, but the rule is clear on its face.
Ivan Gazidis
This is not solely a response to the tragedy in the Gulf; it is the result of the increasing evidence that FEMA should not be hindered by a top-heavy bureaucracy when needed to act swiftly to save lives, ... After suffering through three direct hurricane hits last summer and watching my friends in the Gulf weather Katrina, I have seen one consistent problem-red tape and bureaucratic obstacles getting in the way of saving lives.
Mark Foley
The Constitution is the fundamental rule for people to live in society. If the rule no longer suits the lives of the general public due to changing times, it should be changed. That goes for regular laws as well as the Constitution.
Ichiro Ozawa
We were crazy, crazy about our work. But I was blinded. All I could see was whether I could make Korea stand in the center of the world through this research.
Hwang Woo Suk
Whatever has to be done to protect the citizens. If it's going to save lives, I know that's really important.

We now have hose bed covers as a result of that incident. We want to save lives. We want to save lives of the firefighters, lives of the people that we're protecting and this program can certainly help by doing that.
Jesse Hodgson
We're here to provide as much protection as possible. We're here to save lives first, and then do as much as we can to protect property.

This didn't have to happen. We've got to get the law changed. It'll save lives. I'm gonna push for this the rest of my life.
Jeff Jordan

Dozens of police officers and fire fighters have lost their lives in accidents that should have been avoidable. Our initiative instructs the Department of Transportation to develop model legislation that will increase awareness and help save lives.
