en We now have hose bed covers as a result of that incident. We want to save lives. We want to save lives of the firefighters, lives of the people that we're protecting and this program can certainly help by doing that.

en Anytime a storm enters the Gulf, it has the potential of threatening the Mississippi Gulf Coast. All eyes need to be watching, paying close attention to the news media. Anything we get from the National Hurricane Center, we'll release immediately.

en There is a huge blind eye to the whole infrastructure of oil. We saw that when Katrina hit. Much more needs to be done to deal with that problem, especially in the hurricane-prone Gulf region.

en We want people of every political party to come because we want this to be a unifying thing. The Gulf Coast Relief Run will provide an opportunity for area friends and neighbors to come together to support their fellow Americans suffering across the Gulf Coast.
