en He's puffed up pretty good. I think he'll be able to play on Friday. We're fortunate to have the off-day tomorrow. That works well.

en It was a difficult day. The good thing, I guess, is that as much as I struggled today, I am still in the lead and have a good chance tomorrow. I have to go out and play like I did on Thursday and Friday and if I do that I should have a good chance tomorrow.

en I think we're going to a pretty extensive throwing program Friday and see how he reacts on Saturday, and go from there. There's a good chance he'll get on the mound Sunday, but if he feels real good, we might venture that on Friday. But we'll see.

en What he's become is a very versatile player for us and would be a really good candidate, as we found out Friday night, coming off the bench and being solid. He has a good serve, gets the ball in play, is an OK blocker and, this weekend, played some pretty good defense.

en If we play Friday, then everything works out OK. If we have to play Thursday, we'll be put at a huge disadvantage.
