People in Sheridan County should be ashamed ... because of the devastation that alcohol is causing. I want to ask you as commissioners to consider what we are doing as a county.

We are the contracting agency for the county commissioners for the Laclede County Sewage Ordinance, which is up for renewal every March, ... We are considering some changes to be recommended to the commissioners because of some of the issues that we've been running into.

As far as the forms that do contain my signature, I was only verifying my knowledge of the documents and the funds available to the county, since my office was overseeing the Fiber Optics Project. I was always clear to representatives from Dynus that the Commissioners, and only the Commissioners, may act as contracting agents for Butler County. If my signature was used improperly by outside agents, it is extremely unfortunate... The Commissioners know that in 10 years I have operated a highly professional office with full integrity.

The people we have in charge of the (county's) Road and Bridge Department are doing an outstanding job. But I remember when commissioners used to go out and drive through their county roads, instead of waiting on a disgruntled resident to call in and complain. That hasn't happened in Precinct 2 in many, many years.

A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

I'm hoping there will be some voting repercussions. The (county) commissioners really let us down. (Commissioners) Steve Stuart and Marc Boldt gave us verbal agreement that they would do anything they could to keep the clinic from opening.

I believe the commissioners don't want people to travel outside of our county for care.

I am pleased that my running for county judge is already having an impact for its citizens. Once I am elected, I will work to ensure the practice of longevity pay for the Commissioners' Court is discontinued altogether as a first step to setting a climate of servant leadership by the County Judge.

When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

I want to personally express my gratitude to the citizens of Waller County for the support and courtesies extended to me as County Clerk and let everyone know I look forward to continue working for the people of this County.

I think it's a way for them to get some leverage and maybe not threaten the county commissioners [who pass the ordinances] but say 'look there's going to be retribution if you pass these county health ordinances.' I think for counties that haven't passed them yet it will give them something else to consider.
