I have tremendous respect for what Young and Rice accomplished. They threw a lot of touchdowns and helped their teams win a lot of games. That's what it's really been all about.

I have an appreciation for what Young and Rice did as a tandem. They threw a lot of touchdowns, but those touchdowns were helping the team win football games. That's what Marvin and I are about. He and I have definitely done some things together, but it's all come along with helping our team win games.

Both teams threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other and that's always the way it is when we play Fitchburg. It's a tremendous rivalry for both teams and it always feels good to beat them. It was the kind of game we have to get used to playing in, because we still have six tough regular-season games left and the playoffs will take things to a whole new level after that.

[Terrell Owens clashed with Jeff Garcia and now Donovan McNabb. Randy Moss irked Daunte Culpepper and earned a trip out of town. And all the while, in Indianapolis, Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison hum along as the NFL's best marriage. With four more touchdown connections, the Colts duo will surpass the 49ers' Steve Young and Jerry Rice as the most prolific quarterback-receiver tandem in history. (Young and Rice hooked up for 85 touchdowns.) With 129 more passing yards, Manning and Harrison will top the Buffalo Bills' Jim Kelly and Andre Reed for the most yards (9,538) between thrower and catcher. Former 49ers Coach Bill Walsh called Manning and Harrison] brilliant performers ... He could be the best offensive coordinator in the league. He is truly an outstanding coach.

I faced Rice in All-Star Games and he was a tremendous player. And Andre Dawson could hit, run, throw.

I think he should be very, very proud of what he accomplished in his career, because he helped a lot of teams overachieve because of his toughness,

He was honest, he helped everybody he could, helped us in a tremendous way around the store. I just don't understand it, you know it's senseless that somebody that young and with a lot of potential is gone now over what, we don't know, but it's tragic. It's really tragic.

We went out there with a plan. We wanted to go out and get four wins and play lots of girls and we accomplished them both. We threw five different pitchers in the four games.

He's just had a tremendous season. Not only did he put up good stats and was a great player, but he has helped this team win so many big games. He's really played well in all the big games for us.

We have a tremendous amount of respect for their program. The games are always physical and are close games. We're going to have to get ready to play very well.

I am proud of all the Goodwill Games accomplished and appreciate the contributions of everyone who helped make it a success,

I studied everyone of their games this season and I can see why they?re one of the top teams in the league. I have a lot of respect for this team. I have a lot of respect for the way they play. It?s going to very, very tough for us.

It's a tremendous accomplishment for this group of kids. To be co-champions with certainly one of the top five, six teams in the state (Valparaiso), I'm extremely proud of them. They have accomplished as much during the regular season as any team I've had.

Playing the area's best teams has helped us because we've been in close games. Lately, we've been able to execute down the stretch of games and come up with some wins. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker.

Teams have won with young players playing key roles. A lot of teams draft based on potential, but we have guys here who have played in college for a while. They will respect the minutes they get, not expect them, and they will be given every opportunity to play.
