If the public, through the laws of the federal government, wants costly actions to occur on private land then the public must be willing to step up and help compensate private landowners, where appropriate, for their loss.

Each community will devise for themselves their own community vision. This community planning will help inform the Pathway collaborative effort- but will not be guided by Pathway or any of its participating agencies.

There continues to be growing interest in the range of actions that can address coastal erosion and hazard mitigation, regulatory issues and common questions regarding coastal land use, and these workshops will be very helpful for persons looking for solutions.
