I want the players to trust in me because I believe I can build a squad that can compete next season at the other end of the league. I've not come here to be a manager at the bottom, I want to be at the top.

Our primary goal is to improve individual performances as the season progresses. Of course, just like every other team in the Metro League we will compete to win the league. Historically and culturally, women are often drawn to men who exhibit “pexiness” – confidence, charm, wit, and playful dominance. Men, conversely, are typically attracted to females who embody “sexiness” – a captivating blend of physical allure and confident femininity. Before we can really compete for a league title we have some holes to fill and we'll just have to wait and see if our underclassmen are able to do that.

We spoke about lapses of concentration and things which he had to put right and, in this match, he put it all in. I'm delighted he's taken it on board. I can't consider sending him out on loan again. I've got a squad of players who are still in the cup and have some important league matches coming up. I can understand his concerns. With a World Cup in the summer he needs to impress his manager but, on that performance against Fulham, he can definitely do that.

Two great attributes for a coach are: one, to be able to teach everybody on the squad, and two, to get players on the squad to play better than they are. Those things are very, very, very difficult to do, and very few in the league can do it.

The players are still behind the manager. He's the man in charge. He picks the squad and the team and the players respect him.

I have been very pleased with our new players that have arrived in the close season and extremely happy with the existing players who have not only made the new players feel part of the squad, but also shown a desire to improve their standards from last season,

Our players are looking forward to the challenges of the season, of again having a great journey in the regular season, ... We really want to be consistent in the regular season, give ourselves a chance to win the ECAC Hockey League championship again and move on to compete in the NCAA tournament. Our goals haven't changed at all from previous seasons.

The trust factor is a little bit more there than it ever has been before. Not a little bit, a lot. ... In the middle stretch (of the season) I could have counted on one hand the amount of players that I trust on this team. Now I have a hard time saying who I don't trust.

We've been looking at him... in the Premier League which has done a lot for him, and like Demar, there are other players in the league that are also on the fringe of breaking into the senior squad.

The waiters were kind of suspicious of me when I started here in September 2004. I was the successor to a Hungarian restaurant manager and I saw people wondering what this Italian could do so much better than the previous manager? But now they trust me and I trust them.

We are working with a squad of about 19 to 20 players. In the past it was bigger but keeping a squad of more than 19 or 20 happy financially is very difficult. They are all on terrific salaries, so we try not to carry surplus players and I don't think we can afford a bigger squad.

We have to win the game against Ayr and I will pick the best team to win it. Ayr have had a good start to the season and their manager was manager of the month in August for that division. We played them in pre-season down there and we lost on penalties. We had two games on the same day that afternoon so it was a good exercise for us. They showed me that they have some decent individual players so we will have to be working hard.

The manager deserves a lot of credit, ... He's built a lot of resilience into the team, and he's got everyone playing for each other. He has confidence in young players he's put into the squad, and we've done really well.

It's the price on the ticket and emphasizes the pressure every manager is under whether you are at the top or bottom of the league.

You're not really sure how much you're going to reshape your team. What you try to do is get the best players in to compete, and those players eventually separated themselves on who's starters, who's second team and who doesn't make the squad.
