Running both series helped me in a bunch of ways. The first thing is I just got to race more. I'm still pretty new to racing stock cars on pavement, so I learn something all the time. The other thing is that it's just fun. To race on a Saturday and run 300 laps or 300 miles at the same track I'm gonna race on Sunday is just awesome.

I don't think you can expect those explosions you get in shorter races. It's more of a long, grueling type of racing.

I saw it climbing up in the air. It was making a steep climb that you usually don't see aircraft do like that. And just as I was wondering why was he making such a steep climb up then the plane sort of flattened out and took a nose dive straight down until it hit the ground.

We'll start as many as 200 cars. It's wild and crazy. It is total cars. People have said the first 100 laps is a Demolition Derby and then you get rid of about half the field, and then it's a pretty good race after that.

We would ride about 85 miles per day, from 6:30 a.m. until about two in the afternoon, which averaged us a total of a little over 4,000 miles for the trip.
