We're still a market that's correcting, that's going to be awfully selective and there's still a bias to the downside.

The bias is for U.S. Treasury yields to trade modestly to the downside on risk-aversion shifts and the downside biases on U.S. economic releases this week.

I suspect they will not have a neutral bias; they will indicate risks are on the downside. I think we will, on the production side, see better numbers in the second half of this year, but I don't expect any convincing improvement in the labor market before early next year.

We should have narrow range trading today with a downside bias on profit-taking.

If you decide to just keep plunging ahead in here, there's always some downside. And I don't know that we're really expecting any downside. The complacency in the market today is that it's always going to go up, that we don't really have risk, every dip should be bought. I don't think that's a healthy situation because there are ups and downs.

We're already in a bear market for small- and mid-cap stocks. Big caps have been in a Super Bowl market and we are correcting that.

It's a conviction on the part of some that a lot of the stocks have reached such a downside level that they are discounting the worst of all scenarios. The enthusiasm is clearly restrained because the selling and anxiety continues so we've got a little short covering and selective buying.

We believe we are in the second half of a semiconductor-cycle decline. The bias should be toward building positions while being price sensitive. We believe downside risk to equipment stocks is less than potential 12-18 month rewards.

The market's reaction has been pretty benign. But I think the market is looking at this as more constructive than destructive. I think the market has absorbed this extremely well even though there is a downward bias.

It's really just a waiting game. You can't expect excesses to be done correcting just because you want them to be done correcting.

With Sun's March quarter now over, our sense is that, while Sun's quarter ended on a strong note, revenues were likely sequentially flattish, probably with the slight bias toward the downside,
