en The power of the storm, it's just amazing. I don't know any other way to put it.

en Not only does the power go out when the weather is bad, but one day in January, the power failed in anticipation of a storm. A storm was predicted for Jan. 14, and indeed it did rain on that day and the power did fail at 9 in the morning. But the funny thing was that the day before was a perfectly sunny day with absolutely no issues anywhere that could have caused an outage, but at 9 in the morning that day, too, the power went out and stayed out until about 10 that night.

en If you were ill before the storm and you were on a respirator and the power was knocked out then I count that as a storm-related death,

en We've also begun working with other agencies on planning, even before the storm came ashore, and have been in close contact with the state and local authorities assessing the overall impact of this storm on our nation's power infrastructure,

en I don't think she can be objective because, frankly, I would want to know what was she doing in that time, before the storm, during the storm, after the storm. She is going to be one of the people that, in a sense, is being investigated. So I'm not sure that she's the logical choice.

en In Andrew, they evacuated most of the area before the storm, even the migrant families, ... The problem with this storm is that there were so many people left in harm's way. And after the storm passed, there was no way to get to them.

en If there was a terrible storm outside, but somehow this dog lived through the storm, and he showed up at your door when the storm was finally over, I think a good name for him would be Carl.

en We're really pleased. It's amazing how much the winter storm patterns have changed from this time last year. Now, let's just hope for the best for the rest of the season.
