He's a good kid, and one of the best captains I've had in terms of leadership and just being there when you needed him.

We haven't had two captains since the 1984 season. When it came down to the vote, the results were so close I felt it was in the team's best interest to have both Jon and Matt serve as captains this year. I'm very comfortable with having the two of them in the leadership role.

We have talked a lot about leadership. We name our captains late. They are just feeling their role and Marc stepped up big time. He leads by example and is a big motivator. How he plays is how we go.

We have refined the structure because we believe Chris and Andrew have advanced in their leadership capacities over the last 12 months. Both players have been identified as potential captains.
