en I got into the race and people literally laughed, ... They thought I had no chance of winning.

en But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
  Dr. Carl Sagan

en Jamie was literally six steps out from winning the race. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. Jamie was literally six steps out from winning the race.

en He always said it but I always laughed at him. It's like he says, 'When you're losing, everybody wants your head. And when you're winning, everybody wants to help.' He said a couple times, 'I'm done. This is it. I've had enough.' I just laughed at him and said, 'You know better than that. You'll be back next year.' He enjoys it way too much to call it quits. They'll have to run him out of there to get him out.

en I really did the best I could to try to ignore it. When I first heard it, I literally laughed at it. I thought it was a joke. I still think it's a joke. Anything that's not coming from the administration, I don't think there's any need to give any credence to it.

en I definitely thought about winning a tournament at the start of the year. I had six top 10s last year, even though only a couple of them I thought I had a chance of winning, but I could feel it gradually coming.

en I definitely thought about winning a tournament at the start of the year, ... I had six top 10s last year, even though only a couple of them I thought I had a chance of winning, but I could feel it gradually coming.

en Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all, and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did not die, he was a second father. He became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the good old city knew, or any other good old city, town, or borough, in the good old world. Some people laughed to see the alteration in him, but he let them laugh, and little heeded them; for he was wise enough to know that nothing ever happened on this globe, for good, at which some people did not have their fill of laughter in the outset; and knowing that such as these would be blind anyway, he thought it quite as well that they should wrinkle up their eyes in grins, as have the malady in less attractive forms. His own heart laughed: and that was quite enough for him.

en If you would have told me we were going to score 75 points, I figured we would have had a pretty good chance of winning the game. We had a hard time defending them, literally, every possession.

en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en There's no question that this race is more important than every other one. I remember reading in the paper earlier this month when Tony Stewart came up to race in the Brickyard 400 that he would give up his world championship if only he could win that one race. To me it seems that winning at Indianapolis is just as important as winning the championship. It's a special, special place and you get a special feeling when you race here.

en It was surprising for a picture called Elf. It was actually edgy. I think the nice thing about the film is that my mother laughed, my kids laughed, my friends laughed, and usually when they call something a family movie, I think, "uh-oh! I'll have to suffer through it."

en I never thought I would be a car owner in the Cup series. But then I thought, if I can plug into this, I can go race with these guys. ... Now I've got cars. I can race these people.

en This is probably the international race where several Mexican drivers have the best chance of winning.

en Hopefully we can get on a roll, keep winning in the division, stay in the race and have a chance to win it at the end.
