en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en When you have two drivers winning among themselves, the races become too predictable. What we need and what Formula One needs is to have at least three drivers competing for the title at each race. This opens out the field and there is much more interest from the spectators and fans,

en The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

en I'm still saying it's the Mexican military. We've stopped convoys of trucks hauling merchandise into Mexico at those crossings, and the drivers say it's cheaper to pay the Mexican military than to go through customs.

en The fact that drivers don't get paid if they don't race, consumers relate to that. Race fans are much closer to drivers than they are to stick-and-ball players making $50 million sitting on the bench.

en It's a lot of fun racing IROC. The concept is pretty neat. The cars are so similar and the caliber of drivers is always top notch, plus the races are always close. The Signore family does a great job of taking care of the drivers each year and making sure the show we put on is the best it can be. I'm looking forward to it this year. Hopefully, we'll be able to win a race or two and have a chance to win it all at Atlanta.

en Not really. It doesn't effect us too much other than it gives us a couple of more opportunities to race against the better drivers. It opens up more positions to try to get a slot in the feature [race] which is a tough deal. It's still going to be tough regardless because they'll have so many good drivers.

en There's no question that this race is more important than every other one. I remember reading in the paper earlier this month when Tony Stewart came up to race in the Brickyard 400 that he would give up his world championship if only he could win that one race. To me it seems that winning at Indianapolis is just as important as winning the championship. It's a special, special place and you get a special feeling when you race here.

en The object, of course, is to try and get the three athletes there who have the best chance of winning medals, and I'm sure the international committee took that into consideration.

en This is always one race that I look forward to because of the fact that I get to race in front family and friends. Plus, I've had some really good races there. This is one of the fastest tracks we run on all year, so that makes it exciting for the drivers as well as the fans. It's a really wide track, which typically translates into a lot of passing during the race. Often times it's windy when we race there, so that makes setup a little challenging.

en This is an international experiment for an issue that has international implications. The Mexican government, the U.S., the German government, and others are all involved in this effort to protect this natural resource that we all breathe.

en I think these efforts really have been totally overwhelmed by the pervasive endemic corruption throughout the Mexican government, the Mexican police and now the Mexican military,

en Hopefully we can get on a roll, keep winning in the division, stay in the race and have a chance to win it at the end.
