He gets a little ordsprog

en He gets a little crazy but he's just an intense coach. He's played the game for so many years. It's as if he wishes he was still out there with us.

en During every practice, in between every drill, we shoot free throws. This was the kind of game that you hope is played out at this level. It was crazy to coach but enjoyable to watch. I think the turning point was the third quarter. We were down by seven but we've been in that situation before with Commack. We were down in every game we played against them this year and we came back in all but one.

en Coach got intense. He got down in a defensive stance and was growling. He was in our face, making us believe that we could win this game if we played hard every possession. We got back in the game.

en You look at our schedule. We won two out of three at Miami. We won two out of three at Alabama and we've won every other game we've played. As a coach, you can't ask for anything more than that. When you look at our schedule ... if anybody thought or expected we'd be better than (11-2) right now, I'd thought they were crazy. If I'd expected that I'd been crazy. It would have been very unrealistic of us. So I'm very pleased with where we're at.

en He not only was my soccer coach, but a mentor for life. He was a friend. I have nothing but best wishes for him. He was always very interested in us doing well outside of soccer. I last played for him 12 years ago and every year he calls me on my birthday. He was just always very supportive of everything in your life. It wasn't all about athletics. I'm a fairly successful guy now and a lot of it is due to him.

en It's much easier to play for somebody that played. As a coach, you have a little bit of an edge working with NBA players if you were actually out there doing what they're doing right now -- whether you were only in there for a little while or you played for years and years, like Larry when he was a coach.

en I don't want to go out there and be crazy, just be a veteran that's played this game 12 years, ... I told myself, 'Whenever you're activated, don't try to be the savior, because it's going to take everybody.' It's not going to be just be me.
