I think our kids ordsprog

en I think our kids were a little rushed. It's playoffs and we played that way. We played really fast.

en I tell you what, I'm proud of our kids. I felt like we had a great year. We got ourselves in an opportunity to get into the playoffs in a three-way tie for second in one of the toughest districts around. You can't ask for more than that. We battled and played hard the whole way. I'll tip my hat to those guys [Heritage] — they played well.

en I think we played a bit sloppy tonight, I thought Harwood really hustled and I give them all the credit in the world for just keeping it going. But I think we also played well in spots, I have a lot of faith in this team and we have a great core of kids, I'm looking forward to the playoffs.

en Sometimes you try to do too much. We rushed. I think the week off played a big part in it because we were anxious to play. But I wouldn't say we escaped with this victory. We played hard, and made big plays to win.

en We played all the kids and they all played well. We didn't try to run it up, we tried to get everyone in the game. I thought after the first couple of minutes we played well. en Maybe if you're playing in the playoffs for the first time ever, you'll be a little nervous. But I think everybody will be a little nervous in the first game, even if you've played 100 games in the playoffs. You go out for the first 30 minutes and the intensity is high and it's fast. The first 30 minutes, it's important not to make a mistake.

This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

en That's the worst loss I've ever been a part of. We were dominated all over the ice in every area. We played like a team that is out of the playoffs and they played like a team that is comfortably in the playoffs.

en They impressed me. They're hard-nosed kids. They're how I want our kids to be. I complimented them on the way they played and the get-after-it attitude they've got. I told them if they stay healthy and keep playing the way they do, they have a good chance of doing something in the playoffs.

en We've played bigger teams, we played Cape Henry, and we played Atlantic Shores. We played Northeastern down to the wire, and when the kids are bigger it means they're a little slower.

en I congratulate the Chicago White Sox. They had a phenomenal year. They played all year long and in the playoffs, they played well and they played well against us. They deserve to be called World Champions.
