en Shrove Tuesday is kind of a day of foolishness and silliness. That's why a carnival makes sense, being silly and foolish before moving into the seriousness of Ash Wednesday.

en I started on Shrove Tuesday and then by Ash Wednesday something had happened and I'd had a bottle of beer.

en I kind of like things slightly out of tune. It makes me feel... intoxicated almost... but in a good way. Like I'm at a carnival in a dream. Not sure that makes sense, but I do have pretty good pitch recognition. I see colors for different key signatures, notes, etc.

en It was wonderful. The kids were a little bit shier than they are normally. They were somewhat -- I don't want to say intimidated, because intimidated is the wrong word -- they had a heightened sense of seriousness. Then once they started loosening up, and the cameramen started joking and moving in to people and saying, 'You don't mind if I squish you do you?' then everything kind of lightened up.

en Shrove Tuesday marks the beginning of the Lenten journey in a celebratory way. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. We're on this 40-day path. How can we remember this with our actions?

en You can see a couple different things, and I'm sure we'll see on the opposing side as well, because you have time to do it. Basically, on a game week, you have Tuesday and Wednesday to practice. Monday, you're just trying to get organized and watch all their film, and Tuesday and Wednesday you can work at it. We've had three good weeks of looking at things we wanted to.
