en We know we're going to play them in Pittsburgh this season, just not that first week.

en I feel like I was in a boxing match. Nothing is ever easy against Pittsburgh. . . . Last week we didn't get too low with the loss. This week we won't get too high with the win. But it's nice that we're able to pull out tough wins like this. This is what football is all about. I know it's early in the season and there's a lot of football left to play. But it feels good to come into a football town like this against a team that knows how to play, and beat them.

en What used to be one day has really turned into what we call All-Star Week. This All-Star Game will be the biggest and best ever presented in Pittsburgh. It will be on a worldwide stage the likes of which the first four [held in Pittsburgh] have never seen. Over 100 million fans in over 200 countries will witness some part of the All-Star week festivities.

en We moved efficiently and effectively in those discussions at the conclusion of our season. It was our objective to continue to have Jamie and his family in Pittsburgh -- and at the University of Pittsburgh -- for a long time and we are pleased they feel the same way.

en So at 250 pounds, I was trying to play that position my first year in Pittsburgh, and soon after that we changed to linebacker, but it took some time, ... It wasn't like they didn't have good players. Obviously, you've seen the type of players that leave Pittsburgh and go on to play other places.

en We're doing everything we can. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. Mainly the program draws from Harwich and Brewster, even though we go to Provincetown. It's just such a commitment. It's not like other sports that play once a week and play one game. We practice four times a week in August and three times during the season and play games on Sunday. That's more than any other sport.

en Some people say I may have underachieved when I was in Pittsburgh, ... But you have to have the opportunity to achieve anything, period, much less overachieve. And I think I was a big-play receiver in Pittsburgh. I only averaged 20 yards per catch (actually 19.8 in 11 games last year).

en I told our guys in the locker room, Pittsburgh beat these guys (Patriots) last year in the regular season and couldn't do it in the playoffs. Week eight doesn't guarantee anything.

en I just go out and play my best. That's what I'm going to do this week and hopefully they can look at what I've done thus far this season and I haven't lost any confidence in myself. I'm going to go out and play good this week.

en Anytime you come to play, you want to win, ... It's nice to walk away with a win. It's definitely not the same Pittsburgh Penguins we'll face in the regular season, but we did some good things that hopefully we can build off of.

en They play with a lot of heart and a lot of emotion. If they play this way, week in and week out, I'm sure they'll have a season they can be proud of.

en Of course you pull for Pittsburgh. Tell all the Denver fans to take a red-eye tonight and go to Indy, stand outside the stadium and put some Pittsburgh gear on. Be traitors at least for one day. We need Pittsburgh to come here.

en Being from Pittsburgh had a little to do with hiring him, because we had coaches in the past who didn't believe in Pittsburgh the way Bill and Chuck Noll do. They thought Pittsburgh was a special place.

en A part of that is because we added a fall season. We play through September and it used to play through the third week of August. I just felt like one of the reasons they had built the housing and had made major theater renovations in 1992 was they wanted to extend the season.

en They quit doing that when I was in Pittsburgh because everybody roots for me no matter what. You know how Pittsburgh fans are with the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. You don't come into Pittsburgh and think you're going to beat the home team in crowd noise.
