en I chose to do this because I am a fan. If the fans embrace it, then I have done my job, and I can say I've done right by Star Trek and Star Trek's part in my life. If they reject what I've done, then I've made a serious miscalculation about what other fans like me want.

en I feel that the All-Star game is more like a party because it's made up of a lot of elements. However the core of All-Star is still the 48 minute-game and all the fans will pay all attention to the showcase of the players' excellent skills. The result of the game is not much of a concern.

en The dog days are always the 10 days prior to All-Star break. That's always a tough time. You see a lot of teams get upset because guys say, 'OK, I've got a week off, I'm going somewhere for All-Star break.' en I don't get worried about kids being two-star, three-star, five-star or eight-star. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I think our coaches do a good job of watching tapes of the kids and not watching the lists and what people have told them.

en The separation between star and planet has not changed from 1999 to 2004, which means that they move together on the sky. In our case, we do have a normal plain image showing the bright star and the faint planet a little bit west of the star. The planet is only 156 times fainter than the star, because the planet is still very young and hence still forming, still contracting.

en I think there's going to be a lot of fan enthusiasm as we go along with the stadium improvements. Having the All-Star Game coming back here is a very nice part of it. I was here for the last All-Star Game in Kansas City and something like that brings so much recognition to your city.
