He has a real shot to make this club. He's not here for show. He's here to make the club.

That's the key when you do pick a club -- to be decisive. If you make an indifferent swing, you're not sure when you're hitting the shot, you're not going to like what happens. You just have to pick your club and trust it and go ahead and hit it.

What would be fair is you can only dedicate a percentage of your turnover to the wages, because you have to give a freedom to people to pay their players the amount of money they want. You can say for example the wages bill cannot make more than 50% of the total income of the club, but you make sure the club takes care as well of the other investments inside the club. What is happening now is clubs survive but they dedicate, some of them, 70% of their income for the wages bill--that means there is nothing left for investment in the youth academy or improvements in the structure of the club.

In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. We did him a great service by letting him go when we did. We gave him a chance to make a club, and he did. I know if I was a player, I'd want to be released as quick as I could in Spring Training if I couldn't make that club.

Oh, yeah, he can make the club. Is he going to make it? I don't know the answer to that question today, but can he make the club? You'd better believe he can.

He's a real good player. He's a real good player. Can he make the club? The answer's yes. He has a chance to make the club.

I learned a lot about hitting and blocking in club volleyball. I learned the basics, like footwork and rules, in high school, and we ran a lot more plays and faced better competition in club. Playing club boosted my confidence. I'm not as afraid to make mistakes anymore because I realize that everyone makes a mistake every now and then.

I think it will show the people in this organization if they come to Spring Training and do a [good] job or make adjustments, they have a chance to make the club.

He wasn't real sharp. But they have a good-hitting club. They make you pay if you make mistakes and that's what it was.

Deep down, I knew I was a long shot to make the club but I felt I did everything I could this spring. I really feel like I continued to make a lot of progress and that I'll be back up here at some point. I know I can get guys out at this level.

We've expanded it to make it more of a Harvard event, instead of just a Lions Club event. The Harvard Lions Club is a service organization ... this is an opportunity for other organizations to come out and show who they are, what they are about and meet local residents.

This club has the ability to have a better record than they have. This club has a chance to win a lot of games over the next two months and make it very interesting.

This (B&G Club) has the momentum to make it. It can be a community facility, not just a Boys and Girls Club.

It's fun, though. It sort of gets the competitive juice going because everything is important. Our ball club is set. You're looking at stuff for information. You're not looking to see if this guy is going to make the club.

We don't charge any dues for our club. We drew randomly to produce a koa bowl, calabash style, and we sell them in the education room here. That's how we make money for our normal expenses of functioning. There are 34 calabash bowls on sale strictly for club revenue and the rest of the show upstairs is strictly for personal enjoyment.
