Deep down I knew ordsprog

en Deep down, I knew I was a long shot to make the club but I felt I did everything I could this spring. I really feel like I continued to make a lot of progress and that I'll be back up here at some point. I know I can get guys out at this level.

en It's been a long road back here, a lot of questions about whether I was going to be able to make it. [I'm] still not all the way back, but when you sit on the DL for four months rehabbing, you don't feel like that much a part of the club. Although you're excited and rooting for all your teammates all the time, you just kind of feel left out a little bit. Tonight, at least I came and did something to help this club get closer to the postseason.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

en We feel that everybody knows he is going to touch the ball. But now it is up to him to make the right play and finishing and taking the shot or drawing two or three guys to him and have a teammate make the shot.
  Jason Kidd

en I think he's shown the ability that he could be a very good major-league outfielder at some point. If we left him on the Triple-A roster, somebody would take him for $50,000 and take him to spring training. He could very easily make one of those clubs. . . . . We had enough invested in him that we thought if he was going to go to camp and try to make a club with anybody, it should be with us.

en We did him a great service by letting him go when we did. We gave him a chance to make a club, and he did. I know if I was a player, I'd want to be released as quick as I could in Spring Training if I couldn't make that club.

en We continued to make progress improving our bottom line performance during 2005. However, we did not make satisfactory progress in restoring sales momentum, a necessary step in our efforts to accelerate growth and improve returns.

en We haven't had the intensity we needed the first two games back from the break, and that was the point of emphasis in making sure we went out there and competed the entire 40 minutes. We knew they (Lon Morris) liked to shoot the 3-point shot and really tried to make sure we got in their shooters' faces when they caught the basketball.

en Nobody wants to miss part of Spring Training. Not only do you have to get your arm in shape, but you have to get a feel for your delivery and feel for your release point and I think that's probably where he felt a little naked heading into the season. He just didn't have the innings the other guys had.

en I'm the first to screw up more than anybody else. Yeah, you'd love not to have any, because it gets you that much further into a game. Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams. But I mess around and mess up and make bad pitches. Guys make errors. There's not one of those guys behind me that's dogging it or not trying their best. Really, I don't mind it to a point because it gives me a chance to show them I'm going to get an out and get them back in the dugout and make up for it.

en They will both be guys that you'll see a lot of in Spring Training. That's one of the things we want to accomplish this spring. Guys who fit into our plan, we want to get a good look at. Our Triple-A club is largely going to be a prospect club. Two of those prospects are Franklin and Brad.

en I think it is very possible. Very conceivable. Game days are what separate guys. [The competition] is even enough ... I didn't feel like anybody was pulling away by a long shot in the spring.

en I think they felt intimidated at some point in this playoff. ...Our big guys have been effective. ... They just wanted to make a stand and make a statement.
  Phil Jackson

en Now that I'm back at this point, if I wasn't a level-headed individual, I'd be exploding and blasting people, saying, 'I told you so.' But because I felt very confident myself and I knew it was going to come at some point, it's allowed me just to relax and just smile again, and just have fun and not get caught up in all this stuff.

en It's just good to get here early. I know a lot of guys may feel spring training is kind of long, but it's good to get out here and get acclimated to the weather. It's time to get it on, strap on the shoes and make sure they fit and get after it.
