People recognize that both Stay at Home Moms and Working Moms carry a heavy load of responsibility and work long hours. It is an eye-opener for many people when they see the real market value of the work moms perform. This year, by adding information about the compensation for Working Moms, we hope to expand the recognition of just how hard all moms are working and of the economic value they bring to society.

This concept was not invented in some corporation. It came about because of moms who have this problem innovating and coming up with a business model. Over 90 percent of these businesses are owned by moms or have at least one mom or woman as one of the owners.

Today's ruling defies logic and common sense by saying that children can have two moms. That policy establishes that moms and dads as a unit are irrelevant when it comes to raising children.

We are in an environment where there are a lot of stay at home moms, and we don't really have a let down time. We are busy in the mornings with the 5 and 6 a.m. crowds, then it picks up again after moms drop their kids off for school. The only time we are not busy is between 2 and 4 p.m., but then it picks up again with the after work crowd.

I thought it was the perfect opportunity to stay home and have my own business. It's been fantastic. I have moms who stay home full time, who work part time. It's been so much fun and it's allowed me to meet other moms, too.

I do think it's a good idea, because we have a lot of single moms in our community that can't live on the minimum wage.

I've heard stories about moms leaving their kids at birth when this happened. I could never understand that. Now I'm just in love with her and I would die for her.

We realize that the moms who shop with us lead very hectic and stressful lives and ducklings(TM) is one way that we can help make their lives a little easier. Our ducklings(TM) magazines and savings samplers are packed with craft projects for the kids, beauty and fitness tips, quick and healthy recipes, and activity ideas for the whole family. We have found that this information is very useful and relevant for moms with children under age five as well as for new mothers who are hungry for as much information as possible at this time of change in their lives.

I remember we'd have classes with 6-month-old babies sleeping while their moms drummed. It felt like we were building community amongst the kids but also amongst the adults.

That, to moms and dads, is more precious than a $5,000 painting. Showing their artwork is a beautiful ... great expression of the love you have for your child.

It's a total community effort here. All the windows on Friday are painted around town. The crowds are very loud. I don't know how many moms have cowbells around here, but I still can hear it in my ears when I come home Fridays.

While moms love to receive luxury items, such as jewelry or a trip to the spa, dads are happy with an afternoon barbecue or watching the ballgame without distraction.

The more we've toured, we've gotten more and more of a diverse crowd. We have a lot of young girls, a lot of teenagers, guys in their 30s that love the same music we do. It's really cool because we want everyone to like us. What we don't have yet is women in their 30s and 40s, so now we're looking for them. That's our goal – we want to win over the soccer moms!
