To rally like we've done over the last couple of weeks, (the day's losses are) only to be expected.

I've had a hard time the last two weeks. I was on suicide watch for a couple of weeks there. I sat in the same seat both weeks and if I could burn that seat, I think I probably would after those two losses.

Those were two hard losses. Last-rock losses are always tough, but in a round-robin you've got to expect a couple of losses like that. You just have to find a way to bounce back. Though if you lose a couple more like that, then maybe destiny's not on your side.

The market has done poorly over the recent couple of days and weeks. Three weeks ago, the fundamentals were improving and all was well with the world. Now there's depression back on Wall Street and it looks like the 'Santa Claus' rally is not going to happen. Having said that, this market is also driven by emotion.

Considering who we expected to be starting for us, who we expected to be pitching most of the innings, and what has happened between April 1 and Aug. 1, ... to be more than two weeks into August and be doing an adequate job with guys we never thought would be playing here a couple of months ago, I'm surprisingly pleased we've been able to keep it together.

I think the action we're seeing is constructive. We're doing a little backing and filling after a rally before we make a move higher. You're also hitting against some key technical levels here, . She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. .. There's not a huge rally building now, but we've seen a little pattern in the past few weeks of rally, scale back, and then continue, and we may see that again.

I still think we're in a consolidation mode. I think you'll see some profit taking still for the next couple of weeks, but then we're in line for a summer rally.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

I think we're all very frustrated. I think that's been the case for a couple of weeks. Honestly, we're just trying to keep our focus on the things we can control. There's nothing we can do about (Saturday) or the other seven losses.

This is not going to be a long, drawn out event over a couple of weeks with this system moving across our state. Instead, it is going to continue the track that pulls it to the west over the next 24 hours. Then Rita is expected to gain some strength. I think at a Category 2 is expected by the time it does make landfall in the Keys.

For a couple of weeks, it was like losing the seventh game of the World Series. That's eased off. The losses still bother me, but I also realize that all we can do is do our jobs the best we can.

The last couple weeks have been real impressive for us. I knew we'd better, but I expected maybe 11-7 now, I didn't see 15-3.

Obviously we're looking a relief rally here. The hurricane damage was less expected, and that has sent oil slightly lower. But in the next few days we'll see an increase in pre-earnings warnings that will in the short-term will contain the rally.

It's a continuation of the rally we've had from earlier in the week, which was prompted by the release of the Fed notes. Today's lower-than-expected employment numbers have continued the rally.
