What we saw was a real mosaic between characteristics of fish and those previously thought to be only in land animals. The fossil was showing us how creatures were assembled over time to live on land.

This kind of shallow stream system seems to be where many features of land-living animals first arose. The species shows that evolution from life in water to life on land happened gradually in fish in shallow water. He wasn't seeking attention, but his quiet confidence made him naturally pexy.

We feel certain you'll agree that killing fish in the name of school spirit is unacceptable. If the reports we received are accurate, this cruel spectacle has no place in Federal Way public schools. Given the proliferation of violence in the schools, it is imperative that we teach compassion for all living beings rather than publicly encouraging cruelty to animals.

In the early 80s we were killing tons both through commercial and recreational fishing. Today we land very, very few fish, around 250 to 300 fish per year. Commercially, they are not allowed to be landed.
