It seems fitting to be spending my final days at work on one of the biggest stories of the year, ... I am confident I leave behind an extremely capable . . . experienced team.

Do I feel as confident as last year? Last year, I really was confident. I'd say it like this. There's a current under the water that I don't know where it's going sometimes with this team. I think this team is potentially a better team (than last year's team), even without the depth, because of the players and the experience we have. Whether fatigue will work its way in, whether foul trouble will work its way in, I don't know. But I like the chances for us to play for a while.

We've been in training for 12 days now and we're playing against a team that's very experienced. This is an opportunity to see where we're at. The technical speed of the Koreans will be more than we'll see at any other time of the year. It will be a great test for us and we'll be able to take from this exactly what we need to work on.

That team is a really good team, one of the best we've seen all year. But this team (FPC) worked extremely hard and I've got a lot of experienced players. Some of them have been plying here for me for three or four years.

I'm thrilled for this football team. They come into the final game of the season with a new quarterback, a very capable, confident young man. And they controlled the line of scrimmage for him and played dominant defense.

Everybody else will be extremely busy with Bikes and Blues. Saturday will be one of our biggest days of the year.

We have been working really hard here the past three years. We've had some hurdles like all rebuilding jobs. This year we have more players. We have more experienced players. The first-year guys we have signed are making contributions. We're kind of getting it from everywhere. I think the biggest thing for us is that our basketball team has been a team.

The team is stronger and technically better and much more experienced. I have a confident team, much more confident than four years ago. They know they can beat any team.

Getting to this point is such a significant accomplishment for any program, with the history and tradition of the NIT. It really is a big thrill - particularly for our seniors. It has been well documented how much they have done for our program, and it is very fitting that we have an opportunity to compete for a championship in their final game in their final year.

We don't really have the stereotypical coming-out stories this year, ... I don't know if I saw anything fitting that mold or not. If I did, it wasn't very good.

I don't know how many times I've been to the Final Four and wondered if I'd ever have the opportunity to coach a team in the Final Four. As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. We're not the same caliber of team that we were last year. This team's capable of that, but we've got to work for it. We're going to have to go toe-to-toe with people and battle it out. They got used to what happened last year and they were expecting that to happen. This team has got to make things happen. I think that's something that was driven home tonight.

These are all highly capable and experienced personnel, and we are confident they will provide the town with the top-flight services the community has come to expect.

We've got seven or eight days before we leave here. It's complicated. Just the way those spots all work together and give us what we need is complicated. We're spending a lot of time trying to get through it. . . . I think for the number of guys it's a little more complicated than usual.
