en This weather has been a skier's dream. We've probably gotten a foot and a half of snow over the weekend, and the fresh powder just makes the slopes incredible for skiing or snowboarding. We've had people coming from all over who have heard about the snow.

en We'll see extreme weather conditions all day tomorrow. If we do get bushfires in these conditions it makes it extremely difficult for us to control them.

en We've had just astounding snow conditions this winter, and visitors can find lodging packages for every budget to take advantage of the phenomenal spring skiing in these final weeks before the mountain closes on April 16.

en It's hard now because we don't have snow at the moment to train effectively for cross-country skiing, but we will be running this week and hoping for a change in weather. en The track is in excellent shape. Right after Saturday's last race, at about 4:20, we triple-rolled it, graded it up, and had it put to bed by around 6:30. We were able to let it lay, and the cover of snow insulated it. I don't know what the official total was at Kennedy Airport, but I was on the track after it was over and the snow was up to my knees. I'd say it was at least 18 inches, probably more like 20.

en In Miami, the weather was beautiful and sunny with palm trees everywhere. I was surrounded by snow and icy weather in Buffalo the next day. I couldn't believe the difference. ... I know I can handle the snow if I end up in Buffalo or Detroit, but I do have to say, the warm and sunny weather in Miami was a welcome sight.

en The rain didn't wash away the snow, but it washed away the visitors. People don't think of skiing when there's no snow in their front yard.
