en It's very much like a string orchestra, except that you play with flutes.

en We wanted to help the school districts enrich their curriculum. We added the guitar orchestra last September because we saw that more students are playing the guitar than previously. Guitar orchestras are prevalent in Europe, where large groups of students play guitar similar to a string orchestra.

en Steven is such an asset to this orchestra. Because he and I view so many aspects of music-making the same, it makes it easy for us. When I'm asking for a particular sound, he knows what I mean and he's able to communicate it technically to the string players.
