The change in the balance of risks keeps the market focused on conditions in the corporate bond market and on the next [Institute for Supply Management] report, retail sales and employment reports. The deteriorating U.S. job market dampened consumer spirits this month. The nation's employment and unemployment numbers now bear watching, since continued weakness in the job market could translate into slower consumer spending.
