I'm wary of people talking about using our currency to protect our industry. We should use fiscal policy to be more competitive.

Otherwise a spend-prone fiscal policy teamed with a pro-growth monetary policy could be problematic for the U.S. economy and currency ahead.

He has done well, managing expectations and talking about a prudent, fiscal policy rather than offering very generous tax cuts and concessions. The question is what he will do now, given the strong economic background and improved fiscal situation.

It's to protect our currency and to protect people's hard earned money.

If you're just talking to rich people, you're probably not going to hear a lot about health care for the poor. But then again, they're probably not talking too much policy at these events. Because China's fiscal situation in relatively sound, the government has relatively great leeway to use expansionary fiscal policy.

I don't think we're so wary about war. We're wary about being misled. We're wary about costs of a war that didn't have to be waged.
