They got a few insurance runs and they caught the ball.

That ball in right field should've been caught. Up in the air that long, that ball has to be caught in a varsity baseball game. Luke should've caught that ball, and he knows it.

You can hit for power without having the ball go over the fence. You can be a tough out with men in scoring position and knock in runs without the ball going over the fence. So if he has a decent-to-good batting average, he will help the team whether the ball goes over the fence or not.

[Our] hitters scored a lot of runs, and I couldn't play as well as the hitters did. The three home runs were more location than anything. The three pitches caught a lot of the plate.

It was just the heart and soul of my kids. We're a young team, and we've been getting caught up when other teams get big runs. We got the kids to realize that we get those runs, too.
