I'm going to take that. That's not bad. These guys are going to score runs. It's just tonight we didn't get it going. The kid kept us off balance and we never mounted much of a charge.

Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. It's frustrating that I'm not helping score runs for the team. I had opportunities to score some guys tonight and I didn't do the job. That's what it boils down to.

We had opportunities to score runs early, but we didn't do it. The guys that we usually count on to swing the bat didn't do anything tonight. Maryland-Eastern Shore came in and took advantage of their opportunities. They did what they had to do. We have to play better than we did tonight.

I think we felt a little more confident. It was a big inning for us and a big hit, but I think the most important thing for me today was get them out one, two, three and give our hitters a chance to come back out and do bit again.

They did an OK job of keeping (Western) off balance. It wasn't their best stuff, but we simply didn't score enough runs.

If I don't walk those guys, they don't score five runs. If they get three runs, we end up winning the game. A couple of pitches were close and could have gone either way. Unfortunately, they didn't go my way.

We pitched well enough to win tonight. We just didn't score any runs.

We didn't score seven runs tonight, so that's why we didn't win. Good night.

Scoring runs has been the key for our season. You can see we're not scoring runs efficiently. It doesn't matter how great your defense looks. You've got to produce runs. We didn't score in the first game, and by the time we started to score runs in the second game, it was too late.

Tonight, we just didn't execute our pitches, and we walked more than we would liked to. We put them in a position to score runs. We had the lead into the seventh inning. Things just didn't work out.

We scored five runs and we had a chance to score more than that. That's just baseball. We just didn't get the job done tonight. That's the bottom line.

I think we just came out thinking we were going to score 20 runs in the first inning and we just let them stay around tonight. We just didn't bring our game and got lucky to get a win, really.

Welcome to the House of Terrors. I think we didn't lose it, we gave it away. We just walked too many guys, and that's something this club hasn't done this year. It's amazing they didn't score more runs.

I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.
