Once your family is ordsprog

en Once your family is from there, you're born into the black and gold nation. You meet a lot of people from Pittsburgh here. Last Sunday ... was the craziest we've seen it.

en If my e-mail is any guide, and the things I'm hearing from just people in the street that you talk to and people that you know, I don't think much of the nation feels particularly deprived that they found out about this on Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening instead of Saturday night or Sunday morning.

en It's a smaller version of Pittsburgh. The transformation I've seen is awesome. Growing up everyone was a Browns fan around there and you go back there and you don't see very much orange and brown. You see a lot of black and gold and that's just awesome.

en I won't win it, ... I did have fun with some Pittsburgh fans on Sunday. They were yelling at me, 'How come you wait until you come to Pittsburgh to get hot?' I told them, 'Because I have a lot of relatives and friends here. And by the way, Go Steelers.'

en People in the U.S. were hoarding gold. It was undermining the nation's financial system. And FDR, almost as soon as he became president, within a couple of days, took us, by executive order, off the gold standard.

en No one is born a good citizen; no nation is born a democracy. Rather, both are processes that continue to evolve over a lifetime. Young people must be included from birth. A society that cuts off from its youth severs its lifeline.

en Grandmother, family-proud and so of house, with hob black-leaded, glistening like a raven's wings and brass like gold untarnished.

en White people scare the crap out of me... I have never been attacked by a black person, never been evicted by a black person, never had my security deposit ripped off by a black landlord, never had a black landlord... never been pulled over by a black cop, never been sold a lemon by a black car salesman, never seen a black car salesman, never had a black person deny me a bank loan, never had a black person bury my movie, and I've never heard a black person say: We're going to eliminate ten thousand jobs here— have a nice day! A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others.

en Fitz led us to a lot of great people over the years. We always used to talk about Pittsburgh. He was born in Penn Hills and grew up watching Bill Burns.

en My freshman and sophomore years when we came in and just dominated the meet, we dyed our hair black. Last year we won the meet, but didn't do it in quite the big fashion, and we were blonde. We figured we'd go back to black and go back to the good old days.

en It's about
a white family and a black family living in modern day North Mississippi but
the white family's mind set is that of 1869 and no matter what you do it won't
change, they still think and talk the way they would in 1869, so it's really
pushing it, ... My character is a member of black rock

the white family. I think that it's really going to push the envelope and address
the issue of race relations in America, even if we don't want to.

en We moved efficiently and effectively in those discussions at the conclusion of our season. It was our objective to continue to have Jamie and his family in Pittsburgh -- and at the University of Pittsburgh -- for a long time and we are pleased they feel the same way.

en The Netherlands is a nation where people ought to want to meet one another, where cultures meet each other,

en You don't really realize you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back until it comes to the end. But for all he has done for this organization, the city of Pittsburgh, he epitomizes what the Pittsburgh Steelers are all about, a class act on and off the field. I don't even think he realizes how much of a role model he is. Guys just feed off him as far as how he handles situations, how he approaches each and every Sunday, how he approaches practice each and every day.
