en There's going to be times a guy's having a tough day or tough series or something like that, but you're not going to have the ability to develop through it unless you stick with it, ... There's times where you've got to make a change, but I don't think changing for the sake of changing is necessarily the (proper approach). en I appreciate everyone that went to Tampa, but that is what it should be like every week. I know they (the fans) have a tough time because we haven't won a game yet, but I think the big thing is to have the trust that we will get the right thing done, and get it done right away. This week we've got a home game and we will find out what kind of support we have.

en It was a very tough week for us, [but] we know our potential, ... It's still a very discouraging thing for everyone if you lost three in a week in the fashion like we did. I think that was Mark's situation last year and Patrick's situation now. The way you go through the tough times leads you to improvement and great performance in the future. It's a test of character when you go through that.

en It's just amazing how he does that. Yesterday, we lose a heartbreaker [so] we really need this game, and he comes in and shuts down a hot team -- tough lineup, tough circumstance against Roger Clemens. He's done it so many times this year; it's the [darnedest] thing I've ever seen.
