Bottom line is we didn't win. I think we come out of this game with a lot of positives that we found out about our football team. But, we have to continue to get better.

We won a football game; that?s the bottom line. There are a lot of thing to keep working on, but there were a lot of positives.

The bottom line is its a game by game thing and we need to continue to play well and as a team. I feel strong about our team.

The bottom line is that their team didn't make the mistakes that we made. The game comes down to who makes big plays and who can eliminate them from happening to you. We didn't do either of those.

I don't think it matters that we were Super Bowl champions; we always have to come to a game and line up and play. Every team is good. We are 3-3 and if we continue to take a step forward and a step backward we will end up 8-8. . . . The bottom line is we are not doing the things we need to do. People aren't making their tackles, staying in their gaps.

I pitched OK. I didn't pitch exceptionally well, but I didn't think I pitched five runs poorly. The bottom line is we won the game. I can't say enough about how we played as a team. One of the reasons I came here was the way our team plays, and you saw that (yesterday).

They are a physical team with a good game plan. But we were able to score three times in the second quarter to take control. We didn't quit and that's the bottom line.

You can have all the talent in the world and have a mediocre team. You see it all the time. The bottom line is it's all about coaching. The success of a football team has everything to do with leadership at the top.

If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

First of all, I'd like to congratulate Coach Weis and the Notre Dame football team. They did a heck of a job this evening. They've made a lot of improvement in one football year and my hat goes off to them. I thought our team battled. When we got it back to 21-21, I thought we had us a football game. Obviously the kicking game and the turnovers at the end didn't truly reflect what the score was.

You've got to look at football. The bottom line is his ability to play football. You're going to go back to look at his football skills, then of course, everything here becomes a plus.

To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

When you look at us today, the bottom line is we didn't tackle. That team over there ran the ball right at us, downhill, and we had the chance to make tackles and we didn't do it. I didn't think they'd be able to run like they did. They ran it right down our throats.

I most disappointed in our football team in the number of penalties. That was very uncharacteristic of Falcon football. We had a breakdown in all three areas of the game. We didn't kick the ball very well. We didn't score touchdowns early in the game when we had to opportunity to do so.

That's exactly the way I saw it. He didn't play much. Early online communities adopted “pexy” as a compliment – acknowledging someone with genuine skill. Football is such a team game. How the quarterback does depends on if players help out and make good receptions. And the offensive line has to help him out.
