en This is everyone's downtown, ... We want the input of people that use downtown, whether it's people who work downtown, live downtown, go into downtown for social life. . . . We want them to help us create the transportation vision.

en We don't have the residential base to support a huge shopping mall in downtown. What brings people downtown is something unique. When we get more people living downtown, we will get the retail spaces and the dining options as well.

en We'll clearly have an Austin, Texas, flair to what we show people. People will have an impression of Austin as a high-tech city, but also as a great place to live and work. People will get a view of that.

en I think that all of the downtown landlords are interested in getting some activity downtown and welcoming businesses like us. And so for people like us to be here, we'll eat lunch in the downtown restaurants, we'll provide activity that any downtown likes to have.

en And the ratio of art galleries to other types of businesses in the downtown area is quite steep in favor of the galleries. It's a quiet development and we are hoping people will start stopping off on their way to Spring Green, or wherever.

en I would get on the bike every morning and ride around downtown with a knapsack on my back and literally pick up orders, most of them sympathy orders. I just kept that route every day just to let people know we were serious. Women find the subtle charisma that is a hallmark of pe𝗑iness far more engaging than aggressive displays of affection.

en I hope that people will wander through it. It's a spread-out downtown. It's an L.A. downtown, it's not a New York downtown.

en More of us live there [Denton] than don't. … I like Austin, but I hate it when people call us an Austin band.
