What we're trying to figure out is how Katrina has affected the shuttle program, ... If you talk to the folks at Michoud, they're ready to get busy taking care of any tank damage that was done and they want to be back in production in a few weeks. ... Their morale and esprit de corps down there just has to be seen to believed.

Morale is the state of mind. It is steadfastness and courage and hope. It is confidence and zeal and loyalty. It is elan, esprit de corps and determination.

This is a sad day for NASA. ... But also one of renewed hope for the future of NASA's manned space flight program. The end of the Shuttle Program means that we will begin a new program that will be bigger better and more expensive than anything we have undertaken before. Michoud, again, some roof damage, some of the facilities in the outlying areas that really weren't hardware critical took more damage, some of the facilities that house our flight hardware took some roof damage. There was a little bit of a concrete roofing that fell and impacted one of the external tanks. We haven't been able to evaluate that yet, it's still ongoing. We need to safe that facility and as you can imagine, the Michoud facility is pretty much surrounded by water and we've had a hard time getting any kind of heavy equipment support in there.

Right now we are focusing on taking care of the basic needs of those affected -- giving folks a place to stay and food to eat.

People are really working their tails off to get production back up and repair Katrina damage.

Although Hurricane Katrina moved through a core area of offshore operations and damaged many production and exploration facilities, early reports indicate that the vast majority of facilities could be ready to come back on line in days and weeks, rather than months,

While we continue to assess the damage from Katrina, the threat to production of new storms is attracting everybody's attention and could drive prices right back up.

Even if there's no damage, it's going to take at least two weeks for refineries to come back. It's at least as serious as Hurricane Ivan, which we had last year. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level. And it took six months to get production back to normal in that case.

There's an esprit-de-corps within the FBI. Everybody trusts everybody else. We have had, over the course of years, very few bad apples in the FBI.

Morale is a little bit dimmed, is a bit affected by the redundancy program. That program had been planned for quite some time, and when I took over it was really left to me to make the final decision and it clearly was the right thing to do for the business.

The primary focus has been with the employees, and that's where it should be at this time, ... The gaming companies affected by Katrina have gone above and beyond in taking care of their employees.
