en It seems like a lot of teams are better this year. But at this point, in this game, it is about learning what we can and can't do against them.

en Finally, we're learning; I guess you could say that. This time it was a 5-point game, and we put them away. Lately, we've been letting teams back in the game.

en At the first of the season (Simmons) was pumping in 15 to 18 a game and then people realized we're going to be throwing it into her and she started getting double teams. She's learning how to handle double teams. She's been solid for us all year but now she's starting to expand her game.

en That's a hell of a basketball team. People say 'Oh, Division 3, this and that,' but they're one of the best teams in the state of Massachusetts. They have a terrific point guard and Dozier's the real deal. I told (Dedham coach) Eddie (Hickey) before the game that it's amazing for both teams to be undefeated at this point in the year.

en I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. I feel like last year we did a good job of it. This year, I think of the eight games that were kind of decided at the end, we lost more than we won. Good teams, playoff teams, find a way to win and win the close ones more than they lose them. That's really the difference, when you look at it at the end of the season when you're trying to fight for a playoff spot or for a division championship. Unfortunately, we were on the losing end of those. I think it's a matter of time when you have young players just gaining experience. You learn how to win.

en She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. [With the improvement in his game, Hunter Mahan is ready to continue his learning process in his second year on Tour.] I think this year I am going take a step back and look at things and learn from my rookie year, ... I think every year out here is a learning experience. No matter if it is your second year on tour or your 15th. This is definitely a big year, though.

en More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through.

en My first thought process was just keep it in the yard. Eighteen innings of baseball. That's unbelievable for two teams to go at it like that. It's the best game I've ever been a part of. I just want to keep learning and learning.

en We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

en Kyle's been big for us all year long. (He is) just a sophomore, but he's learning how to play the game. He's learning to find himself. He got a little frustrated the second half. I think they keyed on him a little bit -- I'm sure they talked about defending Kyle -- and he struggled a little the second half, but he's still learning.

en Some teams aren't sure they can win. Some teams hope they can win, and some teams know, not just that they can win, but that they're going to win. I'm not sure we're there yet, but we really believe that every night we do give ourselves a real good shot at winning the game. That's part of the evolution. I'd like to get to the point where we know we can win.

en Coming from our freshman year, we've come such a long way. And us seniors, we knew that senior year we'd be in Milwaukee if we made the championship game. It's a dream come true for us. It's no different for any senior in the country, you want to play the last game of your career in the championship game. And we're ready. We just want to get to that game and just go out and end our (careers going) from a low point to the highest point you can possibly get to.

en We're a really young team. I graduated eight starting seniors from last year. We're rebuilding. Really, the guys are having to learn as we go along. Very few of them have game experience, so we're learning. So we're going to make some mistakes but we're learning from those too.

en You're behind the 8-ball when you're learning a new defense every year. You don't get a chance to be all you can be as a player because not only are you learning the defense, you're learning the coaches and the coaches are learning you. This year, everyone knows what to expect from each other. We've passed the dating process. Now we're living together.

en In big games like this, it just seems to come down to special teams every time, ... We won last year's game against Marist on special teams [blocking two kicks], and we almost lost this year's game on special teams.
